Reading And Content in ESP
An ESP teacher should introduce the learners with a nonsimplified reading material. Though the students may find it difficult at first, it does not mean that they have to stop reading it. Here, the role of teacher as motivator is needed. Teacher should encourage the students to have lots of reading practice in that the more time spent on reading, the more the learners gain in reading achievement.
Beside, the ESP tutor should not teach  the student with the content but  rather to supply them with the underlying competence in order they are able to engage successfully in real life  situation.
The Developmnet of SLA
Since English became lingua franca, the aim of the language from just spread British or American culture alter to link or connnect within multi-lingual societies as vehicle for international communication, information, administration and so forth. This is also the cause of the emergence of ESP. The focus of this subject is to use the specific lexical items for more general terms rather than to use the general English in ESL material. Aside from understanding its register vocabulary, ESP also concerns with practical means that the learners need.
In Defense of ESP
Eckard criticizes the theory and practical implication of ESP on which it just focuses on vocational purposes and neglects the other crucial goals. However, this view is denied by Peter who said that Eckard never had any teaching ESP experience. Actually, the study of ESP is merely a sort of means to motivate student in learning English along with dericting them to their desired goal. In ESP classrom, furthermore, all linguistic aspect both within and outside the field are taught to the learners.
The Future of ESP
As ESP focuses on particular modes of language, i.e. business, scientific, educational, and vocational field, the instruction to these specific fields should be process-oriented. There are two basic learning style in process-oriented, namely convergent, student with exact of science, and divergent, student with the art and the social science. Nevertheless, apart from the instruction used, the ESP teachers realize that their students mainly need are about the linguistic in nature which is relating to reading and writing. Also, the learners sometimes ask to mix both the content and the linguistic instruction. For this reason, ESP should have instructor of more advance experience and training.

Methodology in ESP
In ESP classroom, most students should be actively involved in every activity and the teacher role is just as the organizer and facilitator of the activity or communicative task. In addition, the instructor should be focus on communication, not grammar. However, it does not mean that grammar is neglected, but it will be best taught implicitly along with the activity carried out. Furthermore, the teacher should also focus on students’ error. In this case the tutors return to their traditional role as knower to rectify errors made by their students.
Video in ESP
The use of video in ESP class provides a quick and effective method of gathering a part of the necessery data. Most of the time, the video is used to do something whenever the teacher cannot do, for instance, to give a series of different style lecturers. Moreover, video is also useful in giving the students the example about the successful and missunderstsanding interaction between either co-workers or management. Well-produced video may not only bring interesting lecturer into the classrom but also will aid comprehension.
